Material & Construction
The Abu Garcia Revo SX Spinning Reel is made to last. With heavy duty material imported into its construction the design consists of an Insert-Moulded C6 carbon body design and a one-piece aluminium gear box.
The IM-C6 body design incorporates a one-piece aluminium alloy gearbox, which is then insert moulded into the C6 carbon stem. What this means, is that those gears are kept in perfect alignment with the aluminium gearbox, but also caters for the compact and lightweight body construction.
The carbon material was chosen for its strong bonds between elements that ensure its strength and durability. An aluminum gearbox is effective in casting away any rust that can be caused by saltwater being oxidized. Simply put – it is rust-resistant.
